GTmike400 08-04-2006, 02:07 PM Whats your idea of cheap? ec437 08-05-2006, 03:35 AM So... why do you drive a '97 328i if you are worried about cheap? GTmike400 08-05-2006, 08:10 AM So... why do you drive a '97 328i if you are worried about cheap? You can get a 97 328i for as low at $8500. I dont really call that expensive. Perhaps he dumped all of his money into buying the car and doesnt have a lot to spend on mods. bmw328iman7 08-12-2006, 12:43 AM look i'm 16 so i barely have ne money and i picked the car up for $6900.... and cheap will prolly b less than $400 or $500 and i'm only sayin that price becuz i kno bmw's are expensive to buy for. so if u have ne suggestions on what i should pick up first please help me out. HKmitsubishiman 08-14-2006, 11:52 PM A good air filter, definitely. But if you just spend some time to maintain it well, such as oil change, tranny fluid, differential fluid, spark plugs. It will be quick enough already. Because I own a 325, it gets slower everytime there's something that's not maintained well. So I rather think how to keep its original power without losing it, than thinking how to make it faster without keeping it in good shape. So I would say "if you're tight in budget, just spend money to maintain the car well" You won't regret. bimmerman333 08-16-2006, 02:43 PM For round $500 you can get a chip and a k&n airfilter. get you about 20hp. youll feel the differance at highway speeds. www.bavauto.com vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
