99 suburban blows hot air in front and rear. froen pressure is 115 psi. compressor clutch does not engage, think because pressure reading is so high. Need help. Wife is Hot and complaining.

Assuming that you're taking the pressure on the low side (not that it matters if the compressor isn't running), it sounds like the low pressure cut-off has either become disconnected or the switch has gone bad.

This connection is on the side of your receiver dryer (large silver can by the firewall on the passenger's side). The connection is a two wire, black plastic recepticle. First check to see if this is connected tightly - I have seen them come off. If it is connected, and no compressor, disconnect it, start the engine and turn the front A/C on, and use a jumper wire to jump the recepticle. If the compressor starts, replace your low pressure cut-off switch. Don't leave the jumper in place, regardless of how much the wife complains
