96 Pathfinder, changing brakepadsaustinnp 08-03-2006, 06:52 PM I need to change the brakepads in my 96 pathfinder, it is a 4WD SE model. I just need to know how many pads I need to get, 4 or 2? Also is there a website or a resource where I can find the average market price for this item, so this way when I go to the auto store I know if I am getting hosed or not? Thanks circeseye 08-03-2006, 09:44 PM umm brake pads for a 96 are a pair per tire. so 2 boxes of disc pads for the front and 2 boxes of drum brakes for the rear. and prices vary depending on the brand and warrenty. just call your local auto parts stores for a price quote oh yea and if you get ceramic pads be prepaired for noise from them nasty things. they like to squeal 88pathoffroad 08-05-2006, 03:39 PM Nonononono...brake pads come in sets of four pads. One box of front pads will do for the front. Make sure what kind of rear brakes you have and go from there. Same thing for rears, though, one box of pads will have all the pads for the rear. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
