Hi all - first post here, I hope you all can help out.

Just purchased a 2006 Passat 2.0T from a dealer, used with 13k miles. Car is supposed to be preloaded with XM and navigation, but when following the directions to obtain the radio ID and activate the XM service, I'm at a loss. In order to obtain the radio ID, the directions say to turn the dial until the satellite radio station reads 0, OR press "List" and "ENS" simultaneously. I have not a clue what ENS stands for, nor can I find it anywhere in the documentation.

When scrolling through the system settings for FM, AM and Satellite, Satellite is dimmed out so I am left to assume that it was in fact correctly installed, I'm just a goober and can't figure it out. Any thoughts or suggestions? Nearest VW dealer is 40 miles away so I'm holding out hope one of you can help before I have to make that drive.

just turn the channel to zero then copy down the characters and then call the 800 number and the rep. will guide u thru, takes less than 5 mins to work. also have to have vehicle out in the opening to be sure to get a good signal and u can tell if u have good signal by channel #86, good luck

Thanks for the reply. I see that in the instructions but I cannot figure out how to get it to the Satellite stations in order to dial down to 0. When pressing the Band button repeatedly, it cycles between FM1, FM2, AM1 and AM2 but never goes to Satellite.
