does any1 kno them all because i recently switched over my 65 to MSD wit a magnetic pick distributor but i fucked up and lost the original firing order and the engine is not the 65 motor i was told it came out of a 70's mustang

its a v8 and i believe it is a 289 doesnt look like a 302

help plz

All V8 except 351 Firing order: 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 Distributor rotation: counterclockwise. Number 1 cyl. is the pass. side, front of engine.

i tried that order and it is still not starting where can i find the vin number on the engine because it has been scratched off everywhere else

also any other ideas why it wont ignite the fuel?

Can you take a picture of the engine?

As far as not ignitining? Air/Fuel mixutre, fuel pressure and ignition timing would be the most common. Also make sure your and a 12v/12v system.
