Hello all. New owner of an Alty with automatic tranny, 134,000 miles. Body condition great. Interior very clean. I'm pretty sure Valve cover gasket will need to be replaced, but I'm also wondering about the Timing Chain cover seal/gasket?? Could all this roaming oil make the A/C carry the smell to the interior of the car?? Car is for my teen-age daughter, and she would be dissapointed if all of this will cost her a lots of money! Any help would be SUPER! Thanks, dooski. All other electrical components and mechanical components seem just fine! Thanks, again! --

Altima's i have seen front engine covers leak , and Valve cover gaskets. Are you smelling the oil form the vents when Recirc is on?

No--the smell is not strong but it is when the A/C is on, not when the recirk is on. thanks for the heads up! dooski-

Whats up. I have a 95 GXE and I also have had the front gasket cover leak is that something difficult to replace, also my right side cv joint is clicking. Is there a way of fixing it without having to put a new one in?
