The years of production for the Buick Apollo is 1973 - 1975. Basically, it was Buick's version of the Chevy Nova. Classified as a GM "X" body car with RWD.

This is wrong, the car Apollo was made in 73 and 74 as a straight 6 base model 250 chev 6, with option 350 buick motor. In 1975 the last year of Apollo it was the 6 cyl only in the Skylark new body style as Skylark was the better option with v8. The 76 eliminated the Apollo and just used the Skylark name. So the car was not made up to 79 as stated above, bca member 27925

Thanks for the correction. The data was derived from sources like Wikipedia which appears to be incorrect or vague.

It is good to have input from people that maintain historical data on the Apollo model, actually owned one in the past or currently own one.

If this subforum does not get any further threads or posts I will request deletion of it and any future posts can be made under Buick Classics.

Bob, good idea these cars are really rare out there and though some may argue they have limited collector interest.

What was that Shep. Getting rid of the Apollo subforum? From what I can see not enough traffic to justify its existence even though I was the one that pushed to have it added when we restructured. This one saw limited production and that was over 30 years ago. I would say it is technically a Buick classic.
