Door actuator frozenjlowes 07-29-2006, 05:44 PM My 93 Mustang passenger door actuator is frozen in the locked position and the door will not unlock so I can open it to replace it. I have removed the door panel enough while the door is shut to see and reach the actuator but it will not come off the mount. my guess is because it is locked up. I have tried spraying WD40 on it with no luck. I have tried pulling, tugging, prying, cursing and praying. Any body got a fresh idea or the proper way. N2TRUKN 07-29-2006, 11:52 PM Well Last Case U Could Cut Or Remove The Bar That Works The Unlockin Part. Duno Just How Those Work But You Soud Be Able To Take The Bar Runing To It Off Then Unlock It By Pullin On The Bar??? jlowes 07-30-2006, 09:30 AM Thanks for the reply. I had tried pulling on the bar with no luck. I opted for brawn over brain and stuck a a thin metal bar through the window track and forced that baby off. Unfortunatly I broke the plastic mount that was riveted to the door. Now I must drill the rivet out to attach a new mount. OOPS Something to be said for patience. tony carr 08-06-2006, 03:21 PM need a door actuator ? I have one sitting of the shelf in the garage Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
