I have a 2002 Chevy Cav. I have replaced the front wheel bearings like 4 times on each side. It seems like I can drive it for about a week and then they will go out. Anyone go any idea of what's wrong with it. I really need to know, because I'm ready to give up and buy a new car, but I really don't want to because mine is paid off right now. HELP!!!!!! :banghead:

Have a mechanic check the suspension. It sounds like the front wheels are tkaing alot of stress, causing the berrings to go out. Either that, or your buying crappy berrings.

Are you torquing the axle nut properly after the install, & also don't use an impact gun. If the nut is too tight or too loose, that will cause a premature failure.

Do you have a seal on the drive shaft side of the bearing? When i changed mine, i went with TIMKEN.
