The car has been sitting for a while and the battery ran dead,charged the battery and now the top won't go down or the drivers window

The back of the top will raise and the hatch will open but the top connected to the front window won't unlatch.

Anybody had this happen.I just acquired this car and no nothing about it

I'm basically trying to mount the hard top which I need to drop the soft top first to do so.

any help would be great.

You could have either a bad actuator in the front, or a bad computer, or a number of things but without any diagnostic work it would just be a guess. You can however lower the top manually, it should be in your owners manual.

The top need to see that the windows moved down before it will open. so there is a good chance that if you fix the window that the top will work. Try pressing and holding the window switch in the up position for 5 sec.
