Our first starter on our Kia went at 1 year. It started having trouble starting then it stopped working. That was covered under warranty. Then 2 years later the same thing. It was difficult to start. Had real difficulty starting it and drove it to the dealership with the check engine light now on. Left the car there for 3 days, the dealership ran all sorts of tests, started it some 12 times and had no problem. Picked the car up spend 63 buck in diagnostics to drive it home and have it die in the driveway. Had it towed back and ordered the new starter on my own and hope to have it fixed this time. The icing on the cake is that they put a remanufactured starter in my car for the first time under the warranty work.

Other problems we have fixed is the U joint, ball joints, it will be 2 starters. Some minor electrical issues. Brakes are somewhat unsteady. In the winter the transmission has trouble adjusting from reverse to drive. I put it in reverse then neutral and let it sit a second then I put it in drive. If I don't it will stall. I also notice the transmission sometimes has trouble engaging. I never had these kinds of problems in the Toyota's or Subaru's.

Wow, that is alot of problems. I have an 03 Sedona EX that I bought in Feb 03. I have it now over 3 years and it has 56,600 miles. This far I have had both horns replaced, they stopped working. A new (remanufactured) alternator installed 2 weeks ago. The door handles get stuck in the out position when opening the doors in really cold weather, they must use a thick lube that hthickens in the cold. Other than the alternator the problems have been few and minor. I like the van and would recommend it to others.

Good Luck with yours,
Brian
