No seriously I have no idea where it originated, but anyone can give you them. It usually just means that if someone gives you a chocolate fish that you’ve done something good for that person. Kind of like a thank you or something like that. :)

They used to give away chocolate fish to kids on the show, and as phone in prizes.

From here the tradition spread to several other Childrens shows that spwaned from What Now, including "Spike the Penguin", who has a Fetish for Chocolate fish.

yeah, well... U.S. kids get gold stars on their foreheads when they're good! :p


And besides... RED swedish fish are the bestest ever!

not just gold stars, but those blue ribbon stickers and those scratch and sniff fruity scented stickers that said things like "Great Work" or "Good Job".....and by the way...i think that the Orange swediah fish are better...i'd put lemon down, but there's no yellow and Goobers are better than anything hands down!
