Hello again.

Today I drove my beautiful Kia (98) across town. I turned on the AC and about 30 minutes later water started leaking into the rider side floor board.
I turned off the AC and the water still dripped from the underside of the glove box in the dash.:shakehead Is this serious and if so how serious?
Also, my car worked great for 3 days after the shop returned it. It still does the jerking and stalling.. been waiting to get more cash together to take it somewhere else.:banghead:

look under the car for the A/C drain, it is probabily blocked or kinked. the condensation is running backwards into the car. I beleive it is located where the passenger flood area under the car. it's a rubber hose. if it is too long, it comes in contact with the cat converter or front muffler and gets sealed off from heat or debris.

I have this same problem - however, I do not run the AC in my 95 Sportage. It doesn't work.
I have changed the heater core - and it doesn't appear to leak. That took care of the smell when I ran the defrost.
But the passenger side floor carpet is still damp.
I also seem to be losing a very small amount of coolant (pint every 1500-2000 miles or so).

Any ideas would be very welcome! Thanks in advance.

My wife's 2000 Kia Sportage had a leak in the same area. I found the problem. It was the rubber grommet support for the windshield was missing. It was a tough leak to find. I ended up taking the grill below the windshield off and used silicone to seal up the small hole. Also had to replace the heater motor prior to finding the leak as water got into the motor and rusted everything up and it eventually burned out. It's been okay since and eventually got the carpet dried out.
