I just purchased a used 1996 Pathfinder one week ago, and it has died on me. It will not start, will not take a charge, no lights, door locks, radio, nothing.

The security light fails to blink when I open the door, so I believe that the security alarm will not shut off.

However, when I mistakenly did something that I shouldn't have done (thought it was a bad battery...and connected negative to negative and positive to positive from portable jumper to battery...which is wrong) the alarm went off like crazy. That tells me that the battery has a charge.

Other than that, nothing else out of the machine

I purchased the machine from a used car dealer, and they didn't have a remote switch...

Can anyone help me with a 3 ton doorstop?

New, correct battery. The battery that came with the car should have been used for a lawn mower.
