I recently changed the cap, rotor, and plug wires after the rotor basically exploded. After reassembly, the van ran alright for awhile and then began missing and stumbling badly. I thought that it was because I had adjusted the timing slightly.

However, after further inspection today, I found two vacuum lines unplugged. One goes to the back of the intake hose. The other comes out of the transmission ( I think) and extends up six or eight inches above the starter. The end of the hose has a metal insert shaped in a curly q fashion. I CANNOT FIND THE @#$@#%* CONNECTION.

Please help. I believe these connections are causing the problems. The van is virtually useless as it is.

The hose with the metal loop end is the transmission vent/breather,not a vacuum line.It usually clips to a clamp going around the intake hose next to the mass sensor.
