I went out this morning to start my truck and the clutch pedal went straight to the floor. My truck started fine I just couldnt get it into any gear when it was running and clutch kept hitting the floor. When I backed it up to the garage last night it ran with no problems. I looked for any fluids on the ground and nothing. I looked under the dash at the clutch pedal and I really dont know what to look for. I do know that there was never any message or sign that my clutch was going out.

Anybody have a clue at what could be wrong. I really need my truck, its good on gas.:banghead:

thanks in advance

Did you check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder?

You probably treat the fluid in your system like I treat mine ... just forget it! It could stand yearly, or so, dumping and refilling ... yeah, I know, I don't either.

Your symptoms sound like the master cylinder is getting a little flacky. I'd go ahead and buy a replacement ... and change it out when you can. I've done this job ... not as easy as a brake master cyl, as I recall, but not extremely difficult.

Is it some sort of mechanical linkage problem? "the clutch pedal went straight to the floor"... ?
