Hi !

Has anyone had any experience with a clunking noise when you shift from reverse to forward or from park to forward ? The car runs great, no noise or vibrations but I changed the rear lower control arm bushing and am worried that I may have stressed the CV joint ?

motor mount nearing the end of its life. i have a car that does that. makes a terrible clunk when shifting, especially if parked on a hill.

Don't forget to check the fluid levels on the tranny, my old car would make that nice "thwock" noice when shiting like that before I changed the fluid and filter

my 95 sunfire does that, but it has other major tranny problems. Is it a motor mount that causes that cause it pisses me off and ill replace it lol

also, to see if its the mount: lift the hood and have someone shift the car. If you see the engine lifting or moving more than it should, the mount is gone. Also, you could look at each mount while it shifts to determine where it is coming from.
