Volvo 850 timing belt life expectancyrnpatter 07-18-2006, 05:21 PM I have a 1996 Volvo 850 with 125K miles on it. I just purchased it and I believe the timing belt was never changed. Any advice? Should I have it changed? What should I expect a shop to charge for this service? Thanks. ducoala 07-21-2006, 10:00 AM life of a timing belt is set to 80K clics. You should have it changed on a 850 'cause it's an interference motor. Seals, bearings and belt is about 6o$ labou is about 6 hours. TheMan5952 10-27-2006, 03:23 PM about every 65,000 miles. More if you like to redline the car alot. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
