Ok heres my lil dilemma, this kid in my old town bought a 97 civic EX, had a wings west commando wing on it he didn't want so he wanted the trunk off my 97 DX. We swap and everything is fine. When my trunk was on his car it sagged a little bit, which im guessing is from his trunk bars being bent from the weight of the wing. Tried to tell him that but he didn't believe me and took it to honda anyway. They told him he has to get an EX trunk back on there asap because it's gonna start leaking water in his trunk when it rains.

Ok now is an EX' trunk bigger than a DX' of the same year?

I would think that they would be the same size and it would just sag from the extra weight like you were thinkin', but I can't say for sure.

yea like the commando wing, has to weigh at least 15-20 pounds...the interior trunk release dont work unless someone is at the trunk pulling up on it as i pull the bar, the kids trunk, once my lid was on it didnt totally line up....dipped down like 1/8 an inch, if even...but wasnt level...i think the trunk, probably from being dropped shut instead of lowered with the wing on it probably caused the brackets to bend some....i dun care. i just aint answering my phone when he calls....i dun know him so i dun care ;)
