OBD I or OBD II, I'm confused, clarification needed.RagtopLS2.3L 07-17-2006, 08:40 AM Hello, I've got a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier LS with a 2.3L engine. I want to be able to read the engine codes and need to purchase a scan tool but first I need to know if this car is OBD I or OBD II. The emissions sticker say's that it's OBD I compliant and there is a 16 pin, (8 on top, 8 on the bottom.) D shaped connector under the dash with contacts in pins 2,4,5,9 and 16. This is an oddball year for OBD so I need someone really sharp on OBD to help firgure out this mystery. Just need to know if it's OBD I or OBD II so I can get the proper scan tool.
