car just suddenly stopped. tried to get a jump but didnt start.It sounded like it wanted to turn over but couldnt. plus my steering wheel is locked. help me please :frown:

Did you check Your starter. Starters a frequent with the 96-99 models. I have a 97 and I've replaced the starter 4 times in 7 years.

If the engine turns but does not start, it could be a fuel problem, no spark, or a broken timing belt. Hope for you that it is not the last one.. it just cost me $1300.

Try moving the steering wheel and see if the key will turn just enough to remove pressure on it. Make sure it is in park also you may have to go to a garage if you can't turn it.
