My 1993 Jeep which normally runs very well will suddenly stall while being driven. I can immediately restart it. The other issue is periodically while idling at a traffic light the engine will surge pulling the vehicle forward. Other than that it runs great normally. Any ideas?

It sounds like the classic fuel regulator or idle control valve. I had a similar problem, but my jeep didn't want to fire up right away after stalls. I would check fuel pressure and possibly any VAC leaks (esspecially leading to fuel regulator).
