Can you rev the engine normally? If the catalytic converter is clogged you probably won't get up to or much past 1500rpm.

First place I'd look would be to the plugs, cap, rotor and plug wires. How long since they've been replaced?

fuel pump could be on it,s way out. this problem usually shows when climbing hills. can,t sufficiently supply the gas the engine calls for.any bucking when climbing is another fuel pump symptom of failing also.

Someone mentioned possible problem with catyletic converter being plugged.
Have you had a chance to see if converter is ok. This would cause this type of
problem just written above. Like partially plugged condition.:uhoh:

You can put a vacuum gage to the intake manifold with a T and run a long hose to it and bring it into the cabin or tape to the windshield and take for a drive.
Get a reading and report back.

Or you can disconnect exhaust before the cat and drive it. Way noisy though.
