hello,

ok so i have access to an 89 blazer with a 4.3 v6 EFI 4x4 automatic. well the plans were that we have a 89 blazer as well with a 2.8 v.6 4x4 automatic

now are both the 4.3 v6 and 2.8 v6 transmisions the same?

nope, different bell housings and they're part of the transmission.
