What's the logo on the leading edge of the bonnet? 01L2Cobra 07-27-2006, 10:59 AM It is a BMW. From what I can gather it’s the 1954 507 sport coupe prototype. There is practically no info on the car. It's "V 8" logo slyhog-22056 08-02-2006, 10:24 AM That is only the second BMW like that i have ever seen, i have a neigbor around the corner that has one almost identical to that, he has a very hard time finding any parts and pretty much has to have them made or does it himself. I showed him the pics before i replied and he literally drooled. he wanted to know if it was for sale. he said he would easily give $25,000 for it regardless of shape. G-man422 08-02-2006, 10:26 AM thats one weird lookin BMW. But i like it. BMW507TS 10-07-2007, 04:32 PM I know this car-it is a custom BMW 507,chassis was supplied to designer Raymond Loewy, body built in Paris for him,BMW had nothing to do with car.At last report, the car was in storage at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles- chassis number is 70024,making it a 57 model year. Opinion- It is just as ugly as it always was. Enthusiasts of real 507s please feel free to ask questions, a 507 expert will answer. Thanks,Barry McMillan,BMW507@LOCALNET.com heyyo302 07-16-2008, 09:13 AM Yes BMW but model may be old that cannot say exactly. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
