Does the avatar have a picture? 00accord44 07-07-2006, 05:47 PM The avatar works (kinda fuzzy though) Sig definitely doesn't. They aren't the same pic are they? vinnym86 07-07-2006, 06:53 PM host the image on photobucket.com, then link it to your sig. they usually work. SL3000gt 07-07-2006, 07:27 PM I see both pics. An 06 V-dub in each. As said before the avatar is a little blurry but not terrible. nugundam93 07-07-2006, 07:34 PM i only see the avatar. sig's a red x. JLad10687 07-07-2006, 09:13 PM There, I used photobucket. It says it has to be so small though. SL3000GT, how did you get yours so big? freakray 07-07-2006, 09:20 PM SL3000GT, how did you get yours so big? By ignoring the guidelines. SIGNATURES Each member has the ability to display a signature. Please keep your signature clean, just like the posts. If you choose to create a signature for yourself, please keep it within a reasonable size. It is inconsiderate to your fellow AF member to place a book size of a signature in between every post. Anything not permitted in a post as outlined in this document should not be permitted in signatures either. In essence: Quotes, jokes and puns are okay, so long as they are not offensive. Images within signatures should be of a reasonable size. (400x150 max image size) No more than two quotes within signatures (since these can range in size themselves.) No more than one quote and one reasonable size image. (400x150 max image size) Damien 07-07-2006, 09:49 PM Yeah, but if your sig was one way before the change, you were grandfathered in. It sucked, cause i had to delete something on mine to change it. freakray 07-07-2006, 09:51 PM Yeah, but if your sig was one way before the change, you were grandfathered in. Show me where you have that in writing please, I didn't see that. Damien 07-07-2006, 10:10 PM hows that need to be in writing? the sig creator wont let you now, but if it was already there, it stayed. its been that way since it changed and no one said anything about it... Rally Sport 07-07-2006, 10:29 PM ^ Yup.. if you need to see it in writing then ask our admin, TS.. he'll tell you the older sigs are not under the changes. Also he isnt 'ignoring the guidelines' back then it didnt specify what was reasonable size but if it was bigger than a book then you're going overboard. And this change in the sig size in recent.. as in it was put in June of this year. SL3000gt 07-07-2006, 10:47 PM Woh. For starters I have a large monitor which through me off so about 6 months or so ago a mod asked me to downsize it. I followed through and made it the current size it is now and has been like that for quite sometime now. The mod (I think Igovert or -TheStig- AKA RedNeck383) told me it was fine once I downsized it. So I guess I am left confused on what rules I broke if it was OK'd by a mod and there is a grandfather rule in affect. JLad10687 07-07-2006, 10:56 PM Woh. Rally Sport 07-07-2006, 11:18 PM You havent broken a rule SL3000gt, because there really wasnt one up until this past month about the sig size.. Also this sig rule isnt one that can really be 'broken' per say as you arent allowed to make a sig that is bigger then 400 pixels wide, but if you dont change your old one that is bigger than the guideline states you still havent really broken it because it doesnt apply to old sigs. twospirits 07-07-2006, 11:32 PM Yeah, but if your sig was one way before the change, you were grandfathered in. And this change in the sig size in recent.. as in it was put in June of this year. Wrong on both counts. Igor specifically set the size for a reason which has been mentioned quite a few times throughout the forums. No one has been grandfathered in, its just the mods haven't gotten around to making sure the members comply with the rules. Yes its true that if you do not change your sig, the rules or shall I say the system will not force you to select a suitable size. But that does not mean if a moderator tells you that your sig image is too large and to resize it, that the member can ignore the moderators request. Bottom line if a mod or an admin tells you to resize your image, either you do it or we do it for you by removing it. Quite simple really. Woh. Plus the excuse that you have a large monitor means nothing for the other user that does not. Plus one of the reasons why the size was implemented was for sizes such as yours. They are way too big. If you posted the image in a post, thats fine cause it only shows up once, but lets say you posted more than 4 times in a thread, your sig would take up way too much reading room. Especially for those without monitors the size of a house. Oh btw, you need to resize your sig. Please resize it. TS freakray 07-07-2006, 11:37 PM You havent broken a rule SL3000gt. And to clarify, the admin and mods decide who is and isn't breaking the rules. Thanks for stepping in TS. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
