How much can i get for my neon?Mitch_2005 07-07-2006, 11:56 AM I am planning to buy a new car and I was wondering how much I could sell my neon. 1995 iris Dodge Neon 4drs base 206 000KM New gas tank new cv joints new tie rod ends new front brakes new alternator only light rust and cracked windsheild needs new head gasket thanks in advance! neon_rt 07-07-2006, 01:16 PM Kelly Blue Book trade in value is $450-$500. Private sale is $1000-$1100. Dealer Retail value in A1 perfect condition tops out at $2100. In the case of needs new head gasket subtract $500-$600, cracked windshield subtract another $200. Your car is worth -$200. Any amount you get on a trade is dealer courtesy. They may even mark up any car you want to trade for to cover disposal cost of your Neon. HPNOTIQracing 07-07-2006, 10:10 PM where are you? canada? in the states mabey 100-200. because of the head gasket. if it had a good head gasket mabey 500 mabey das2123 07-08-2006, 10:48 AM I'd say $500-$700. You'd make money parting it out probably. Let's just be honest here....Neon's aren't great cars for resale. You'd truly be better off to kep the car rather than trade it in. Especially if you've put money into it. It would be a good commuter/2nd car. You WONT get what you've put into it. And all 95 Neons (and others :) ) need a new head gasket. It's just one of the joys of owning a Neon. I'm shocked that you got 206K miles on it---that's way better than I did-lol! Besides---you didn't really want to sell your beloved Neon---right?!? Mitch_2005 07-12-2006, 11:24 PM I guess i'll see how much I can get for it... i'll be happy if i can get 500$ for it, after all the car itself didn't cost my anything das2123 07-13-2006, 09:42 AM ^^^Where are you located? InstallTech 07-13-2006, 06:54 PM Heck...unless you're in dire need of the money, I'd keep it. Could come in handy as a "back up vehicle" in case the "new" one breaks down or whatever. Mitch_2005 07-14-2006, 09:45 PM ^^^Where are you located? I'm in Mirabel, Quebec about 30 min north from Montreal. I'm starting to think that I should keep the Neon until I finish school which is in about a year and so far it has been a great car! mitch1987 03-25-2007, 03:37 PM Well I just sold my neon. I got 300$ for it. lol I guess its good considering the drivers door didn't close anymore. I got my new 2003 red SX 2.0 last week and i love it! Mic1980 03-26-2007, 12:58 PM I could use the parts, the damn junk yard is charging $60 beans for a radiator. mitch1987 09-26-2007, 09:47 PM Lol the motor blew 2 weeks after I sold it... I still loved that car Calgary ZR2 10-02-2007, 03:53 AM My wife just bought a FJ Cruiser today with the plan of trading in her 1996 Neon. The Neon is in great shape with most parts under the hood new and cylender compression is still in the good range. The body has no dents or Bondo and no rust. The Toyota dealer claims it is the best they have seen in the Neons in years. Yet they were unable to go higher that $200 CND. So we kept the Neon and may just fix it up over the years for fun, or sell it for $500. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
