View Full Version : bartending academy bartending academy highteknology 07-06-2006, 02:12 PM some things i have read said that you do not need a "diploma" from a bartending academy to get hired at a bartender, you just need an alcohol servers license. other things i have read said that you do. i'm sure the rules differ from state to state but if anyone could help shed some light on this i would appreciate it. i'm sure that having a "diploma" from any alcohol academy looks a little better than none. sort of along the lines of a GED versus a Bachelors (or something similar). Damien 07-06-2006, 02:41 PM i have a friend thats a bartender. she went to the school. it makes it easier to get hired, especially at high priority locations. it's hard to make it on your own though, but if you do...i think she made like 100 grand or more. she's also a model though, so...bartending was the laid back job. highteknology 07-06-2006, 03:32 PM yeah, i'm not expecting this to be my main job or anything, shit that's why i'm pullin 40 plus hours a week now. it's more just to get a little supplemental income, more like spending money on the side. Damien 07-06-2006, 03:44 PM if its that, i woulnt do it. it takes a lot of time. id do it, but its not the direction i want...ish. i could meet a lot of contacts like that though. like i said, its hard but i guess you could if you had someone willing to hire you. G-man422 07-06-2006, 04:24 PM If you love to do it, then go for it. grimmy 07-06-2006, 05:04 PM How much does it cost? Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
