swapping a 2JZGTTE to my Supra??fixin_dippin 07-05-2006, 03:28 PM i was thinking about buying this engine & wondering if it will be able 2 fit in my 87 supra??? Im a newb.. TcmaBoy 07-05-2006, 03:56 PM It will, but you will need to change to a 90+ cross member, have custom engine brakets made, you can use a R154 trans with a 1JZ bell housing and flywheel if you want a stick. When you buy you will need find a front clip. Just buying an engine/ECU combo will create a lot of extra work and parts hunting. The car will need to be rewired to accept the new engine. This is not a simple drop in swap. You need to be an extremly competent mechanic and electrician to make it happen. Be prepared to spend at least $5000 on the swap. Now, just how serious are you? One more thing; it is a 2JZGTE. Nissan uses two Ts to indicate twin turbos. Toyota does not. fixin_dippin 07-05-2006, 06:17 PM It will, but you will need to change to a 90+ cross member, have custom engine brakets made, you can use a R154 trans with a 1JZ bell housing and flywheel if you want a stick.
