So here is the problem my friend blew the speakers in the dash we took them out and said they were not worth rebuilding so we want new speakers but no one carries that type of speaker 2 1/2 inch diameter and 1.25 inch deep. does any one know where we could get these. thanx in advance.

P.S.
It does not matter if they are the factory replacement or aftermarket as long as they work. and yes i have tried google and crutchfield they have nothing.

The Jeep dealerships carry exact factory replacements. After markets can be found on Ebay.

i'd recommend abandoning the stock dash tweeters they are problematic. go over to www.wjjeeps.com for a full writeup of options to replace them. you can spend as little as $30-50 for some 3/4"-3.5" tweeters all the way up to a $1000 for a pair of killer 6.5" components(for the doors and the dash).

i always thought i'd be happy with the factory system... now it looks like this

eclipse 8445 deck
eclipse EA4000 amp powering
2 pairs MB Quart premium 6.5 components
installing:
eclipse XA1000 amp powering
JL stealthbox with the JL 10W3v2-D2(for now)

go to a retailer and that's over $2500 and i'm not even finished haha. i don't regret spending that much at all... it's like an auditory orgasm everytime start my car.

Visit 12positive.com. They have fixed the speaker problem. Everything you need comes with the replacements. I had mine done in 30 minutes.
