My AC was low on freon so I added some oil first. The guy at AutoZone had no clue so I got 100 viscosity ester (My fault should have done some research). OK I added 4oz and then my compressor started making noise and cutting off and on. After doing research I found out my compressor takes 8oz of PAG (ND8) 46 viscosity. I tried adding the correct oil but it didn't make any difference. Have I ruined my compressor? What should I do now? I've got the compressor disconnected now. Thanks.
