Ok just installed Shark Injector and a CAI. Now it seems that I have this annoying whining noise heard mostly from 1500-3000 rpm. It is driving me crazy. Anybody have a similar problem?

wheres it coming from?the eng? or components of the eng.?like alt,ps pump,compressor?

It sounds like it is coming from the intake. A friend thought it might be the injectors.

might be too much gas and causing a strain on the eng. making it whine how much psi them injectors push out?

It seems that the sound is worse at light acceleration and goes away when you fully depress the accelerator peddle. Also only at low rpms and worse when in auto mode ( I have a tiptronic).

ok maybe air is coming past the injectors or pressure

OK talked to a guy at a shop and his friend put a CAI on an M3 and he apparently had the same squeeeeel. AAAHHHHHH. Tempted to put old stock box on before I check into the looney bin.

Thats the sound of more air getting sucked in. I have the same sound on my 325i with a Carbonio Carbon Fiber CAI.
