2004 GC Right side power door locks, windows, and mirrors suddenly stopped working!?!CapeCJ7 06-28-2006, 06:36 PM I have a 2004 GC leased and all the power on the right side quit on me yesterday. I went through all the fuses to find nothing blown. Since it's a huge inconvenience to have no power locks windows etc especially in the summer and the vehicle is leased I took it to Chrysler. The tech told me the right door switch has an open and would need to be replaced for 360$! Are you shitting me was my response on a car I don't and won't own. How would a switch on the door control the power mirrors and the keyless entry and why would it all of the sudden go on a newer car?? Before I tear into the door myself can anyone PLEASE provide some suggestions or advice!!! It would be greatly appreciated. Thank YOU Purple_Haze 06-29-2006, 01:15 AM to me it sounds like a bad ground or something, when driving at night, do you see illumination on the swithces or no? check all the wiring first, i doubt its 360$ to fix it, more like 3.60$ melonman 09-21-2006, 05:14 PM I have a 1996 that had same problem (yet very intermittent). Most diagnostic about this problem talk about bad wire in door to body area however, I found it WAS the door window/ lock switch module and once replaced it has been fine. I got the module off of e-bay for about 20-30$ for used and installed fairly easily. There are all sorts of relays in the switch module so that is how /why it affects all accessories (including rear door as well). Hope this helps Bob D. 09-22-2006, 12:49 AM The tech told me the right door switch has an open and would need to be replaced... Take that info to a good independent mechanic. I don't understand why some Jeep owners insist on using dealerships for out of warranty vehicles. dksob81 09-22-2006, 07:39 AM I have a 2004 GC leased and all the power on the right side quit on me yesterday. Thank YOU Ussually when something like this happens it is ussually the wiring in the door jam, these wire get brittle from opening and closing the door and tend to break easily. But your jeep is still quite new so I doubt that is the problem but a good place to check. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
