Water spotsiguana99 06-28-2006, 12:50 PM I have a 05 M3 and over the course of many washings water spots have begun to appear on the car, windows, body, everywhere, I can get the ones out of the body by intense waxing, but I am unsure how to clear the windows, also they reappear everytime I was the car, any advice on how to get rid of them and stay rid of them would be greatly appreciated CassiesMan 06-28-2006, 01:04 PM Use really pure water, and no soap or anything. Also, try windex, or a similar cleaner. A freind of mine got massive waterspots on his window, and he used a piece of steel wool and sometimes a razor blade to get them off. DO NOT do this if you have window tinting...that would be disasterous. I would also recomend using a squeegee instead of cloth when drying off windows, it would sweep the water right off, and should dry clean. Make sure you get as much as the car dry as possible with an ultra absorbent cloth, not just a towel or paper rag. Dont let it air dry. iguana99 06-28-2006, 06:49 PM hmm, I"ll try that tomorrow, are those rubber absorber things any good? also what about that Mr. Clean auto dry thing, is that worth it?? CassiesMan 06-29-2006, 04:42 PM I've never used it, so I can't answer that question. Hornswoggler 07-06-2006, 10:58 PM You should be able to remove water spots (both body and windows) with a clay bar. Sounds a LOT safer to me than steel wool and razor blades :) 01L2Cobra 07-07-2006, 12:28 PM Sounds like you have a problem with hard water. What soap are you using to wash your car? How often do you clay bar it? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
