Oh yes, more so than I can list at the moment.

Over the last year it's been in the process of having a complete frame-off custom resto. The body shop is done doing the body work and now they're about to pull the body off the subframes. After that they're going to clean the subframes up and repaint those, as well as the entire body. It's going to get a Goodmark 2 inch cowl hood as well.

As for the motor...it's been finished longer than the car has been in the shop and it is fully built.

The suspension has also been completely redone. New moog bushings, moog springs and moog steering compents up front...drag link, tie rods, pitman arm.
New Monroe Sensitrac shocks have been installed up front and in back, as well as a new set of leaf springs (which are way to damn tall and have to be sent back for a set of lowering springs). All the body bushings are being replaced with Engery suspension poly inserts, as well as the engine and tranny mounts. The leaf spring eyes are also poly. Damn, the list just goes on and on. It's so hard to remember everything that has been done, or will be done.

New rims/wheels are in the works as well. Ask me any more questions that you have, I'm sure I'm forgeting stuff.

Nope, not hardly. My dad never owned a Camaro, he did however have a 71' Cougar when he was my age.

I bought it on my own in 2002 to rebuild and have some fun with. It had turbocharger on it when I bought it as well, which was spiffy.

Nope, I got deus headers, not uno. No Vtaking here...unless my engine builder snuck that one in while I wasn't lookin'. No face-blinking shiftlight niether, just a monster tach. Last but not least, I don't do my hair, I wear a hat...all the time. :grinno:

Why are parts so freaking cheap for that car and so expensive for mine?

BullDog71ss

Why are parts so freaking cheap for that car and so expensive for mine?

It's a domestic...that's what they do. The performance stuff is fairly cheap for the most part. Even the EFI system is $2,199, which I consider a bargin.
But other things that are specific to the car like the interior, badges, and body panels can get pricey. But they are all GM certified parts made by Classic Industries and are exact to the origional stuff. Which is nice to have when you own an older car with hard to find parts and you want it to be like new.

Also remember, this is a 35 year old car and everthing on it is fairly simple. It doesnt have any of the sophisticated gibberish that your car does. I think the A/C system is the most advanced peice of hardware on the whole damn car. Haha.

Actually, "The Stig" as he calls himself :disappoin invented off-topicness. He's been doing it for years and has managed to avoid detection. But I'm on to him now!

And yes, the car is expensive, but if I didn't spend a bunch on it, it would never be sweeeet.
