02 Elantra over heating thermostat????

I have a 02 elantra that overheats at speed.steam coming from overflow tube hose look good belts look good. fan seems to turn on sometimes but not all the time could this be a thermostat or water pump??? any help would be great .cant seem to find the thermostat either any help on that would also be very helpful Thanks :banghead:

It could quite possibly be the thermostat. Could be many other things as well. Here is a pic to try to help you locate the thermostat. It's # 25500A in the pic.

If she only overheats at speed I would not suspect the thremostat. I would be looking at the electric fan/s (do they operate with AC on) or the water pump.
