Is the tranny relearning??........Ramblin Fever 06-26-2006, 07:59 AM I did a drain/refill yesterday on the transmission after it sat for 45 minutes following a 30 mile city drive. I got out 3 qts & 8oz. I put back in almost 3 qts, then started the truck, and going back and forth with shifting the gears and entering more fluid, I got in 3 qts & 14oz. Shifted through the gears a bit more, and according to my water fish finder thermometer, the transmission pan registered at 92F. Got back under the truck to see if it would take a bit more, as I figured I lost about 1/2qt last week while checking it (too hot while having pulled the fill plug). At 92F, the fill plug was slowly trickling, so I hurried up and added in another 9oz or so and closed her up. Truck shifts beautifully; except I've noticed on an incline when it shifts into 2nd gear it's a tad rougher then it used to be - any thoughts? I added a total of 3 qts & 24oz - that doesn't sound like too much or (too little) does it? rodeo02 06-26-2006, 03:36 PM Ramblin, I think that transmission has learned all it can at this point. :grinyes: It sounds fine.
