Sooo this morning I went out to my car to grab some tools so that I could work on the computer when I noticed that my rear passenger window was down about an inch...
So I went to inspect and the windows DID work but I knew they were going to die eventually but I have always had the child lock on the windows so friends and whomever dont move em down ... well it appears that inside right on the wire cable with the little stub that moves the whole thing up and down has broken and only rolls down ... not up... so I spent about an hour or so breaking the door down and taking everything apart till I got to the motor and everything connected safely out of the door ... and thats how I found the problem.. thing is.... What is the part number for the plastic piece that holds the little metal stub on the wire??
Its basically on the backside of w/e ... I dont want to buy a whole new assembly .. it looked like the plastic piece could just snap in there ... my motor is fine .. everything works .. its just not grabbing...
For a quick fix tho I moved the little stub Behind the actual part of the plastic that wasnt broken and for now thats how its going to be ... just gonna leave the switch un-hooked in the back b/c if it rolls down to much it'll jam into the plastic on the pulley... FUN!
Basically, will only roll up =p .. can be rolled down but with some assistance and not going to far so it doesnt jam
Mine is this model... sorry for the size, not my hosting

Gir, Pm Bnaylor or Richtazz I think they hav the #'s for those plastic pieces.
They will need epoxied in and let dry for 24hrs before you can use it. Hopfully you can just replace those parts and not the whole window mech...

Still not sure what piece youre talking about, but i hav a good idea.
Is it the white plastic part in the pic from above??
Guess they break often.
In the end you might hav to replace it, but maybe it'll hold up for a while.
I dont play with the windows, nor do I let others, just for that reason.
I did notice my GTs back windows seem to be dragging when I raise them. Going to hav the panel off to install some Leds, figure I'll lube them up then and hope they arent broke :banghead: thats my luck though
hell the GT is still hav put together now :shakehead getting ahead of myself
At least you dont live on the east coast, its been raining for a month of some shit !!! :22yikes:
And the west coast, it is burning down :evillol:
"the irony of it all"
done a quick search(i knew we just discussed the window things) heres one link

eh thats a bad pic because its on the other side where the actual wire cable goes that catches the piece that slides up and down....
it holds the window just fine...
