Poll; who would want a Skyline? and has the $...TrAutomotiveWorks 06-25-2006, 09:10 PM Hello everyone, well to start off I am bringing a car to sell over here (a R34) and just wanted to see what the market was over here... so... - Who would want a Skyline/Silvia and actually has the money to buy one; we are talking $30,000 and over. (No highschoolers please) - Also, having the money and without dreaming, what model Skyline/Silvia would you want? I donīt know, maby if a lot of people want Skylines/Silvias I may bring some over here and sell them (and without the hefty price tag that Motorex was giving, more like outrageous price tag). Reagrds, Esteban Soto TR Automotive Works SkylineUSA 06-26-2006, 12:16 PM 50 State legal, going through the EPA, DOT, anfd NHTS? Or are you just dreaming? MotorEx went under, and trust me they were not rolling in the dead presidents. TrAutomotiveWorks 06-26-2006, 10:42 PM Yes,k 48 state legal. Of course California is really hard to get by. liny 06-27-2006, 09:25 AM who cares about CA anyway SkylineUSA 06-27-2006, 12:44 PM Yes,k 48 state legal. Of course California is really hard to get by. There is no such thing as "legalizing" them in Japan:grinno: Or are you being facetious? sgdtr2989 07-04-2006, 05:15 PM There is no such thing as "legalizing" them in Japan:grinno: Or are you being facetious? :iceslolanfacetious vectorspecialist 10-31-2006, 10:04 PM u can legalize them in japan, but it won't allow for the car 2 come to the usa. and if i wanted one, just a metallic blue r34, nothing special. and if the price didn't go above that of a sti or evo, then i'd buy one, if it did, i'll get one of those pocket rockets or kid's toy's. over 50, i'll get a fricken used 911 HellBent 11-02-2006, 03:13 PM Yes,k 48 state legal. Of course California is really hard to get by. When it comes to importing a motor vehicle, there is no such thing as 48 state legal. The EPA is the government authority regulating the "smog" side of importation and they use the California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B.) standards. Thus if it is federally legal it is 50 state legal. It always amazes me that someone who wants you to trust them with tens of thousands of dollars of your money is too ignorant to even read a few pages of info from the EPA or NHTSA. -AL SkylineUSA 11-11-2006, 06:25 AM u can legalize them in japan You have no idea what you are talking about!:screwy: vectorspecialist 11-11-2006, 03:45 PM read the next phrase in what i wrote, it states, that they still won't b leagle in the usa SkylineUSA 11-11-2006, 04:53 PM read the next phrase in what i wrote, it states, that they still won't b leagle in the usa "u can legalize them in japan" What the hell does that mean? Of course they are not legal for the US. nismogt_rfreak 01-26-2007, 06:31 PM I don't doubt that he can bring them over. I doubt that he can make all the safety modifications and rig up an OBDII system in his free time. vectorspecialist 01-26-2007, 11:35 PM is there a law that states u must have air bags, tcs, or abs. cause i sure as hell would love to drive a tvr, it has none of the above. just raw power and the person. TVR's would sell in america like hotcakes. 400hp, inline 6, say maybe 60g, still cheaper than a brand new well optioned non zo6 vette, cheaper than a 911, and much different looking than most anything here already. and face it, no tcs means loads of fun especially with a rwd car. i'd consider importing those, they have a following, maybe not the size of a gtr, but still a following. the way i see it now, noone is going to import the old gtr's at this point. the new ones are a yr away, and will be cheaper than a low miles gtr34 or 33. i can only see nissan bringing them in for like a show of what the new gtr has come from, cause the usa hasnt had a gtr on dealer lots here since 74. i'm saving for either the new gtr, or a viper, whatever one ends up being cheaper after options. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
