1995 Jetta VR6 Pouring Out Antifreeze...stang95silv 06-24-2006, 08:33 PM I recently obtained a 95 vr6 jetta 5sp and now its pouring out antifreeze from the front center of the motor. I jacked it up and its pouring out right over the oil filter. I am not to familiar with the vr6 motors but what is in the center of the motor above the oil filter that could be pouring out antifreeze? It is so hard to see down in there and wanted to get some opinions before i pulled the radiator/fans, etc out. The car runs great, no antifreeze in the oil or antifreeze coming out the tail pipes so i'm guessing the head isn't cracked? Thanks! veedubmechanic 06-25-2006, 11:10 PM Its called the crackpipe. it goes from the water pump to the coolant flange on the block and there is a little nipple that a small 3/8" coolant hose comes off that breaks... look for them on ebay for a metal one and when replacing it replace the thermostat, coolant flange and all the o-rings.!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
