I need to replace the antenna on my '95 Lumina. It was snapped off. i bought a universal antenna that is vandal resistant. I just don't know how to get the other one off. Thanks for your help.

The top of the antenna base is has a domed, castlated nut which secures the base to the quarterpanel. There is a socket designed to remove this nut, but since you are replacing the entire assembly, you can probably remove is with a good pair of pliers (like ChanNelLock 410s or Knipex self-gripping types). You may want to apply some penetrating oil to the nut a day or so before attempting this, since the aluminum parts tend to fuse and sieze.
