I'm been looking around to buy a nissan 240sx in Washington state, but they go for pretty high around here 95 se with 140,000miles for 7G. So im thinking about buying one from out of state from like autotrader. For those of you who have experience purchasing a car from out of state, i'm in deire need for some pointers. If were to buy a car from Fl, what would be the best way to do that? Thanks for the help.

Buying a car from across the country is something I'd steer clear of.
A) shipping costs may outweigh savings
B) you can't testdrive the car/have a mechanic look at it, etc.
C) you don't know, and wont meet the seller

If you really want to buy out of state, I'd buy something from a neighboring state (I have done this in fact), but unless the car was seriously rare/hard to find. I wouldn't shop that far from home, it just has the potential to lead to serious issues...I see it on the internet all the time. Plus if something does go wrong, it can be a serious pain to deal with legal action when you are seperated by thousands of miles.
