from what i hear, they(Motorex) has apparently been placing falsified claims of compliance and the nhtsa has thought about reconsidering the elidgability of the 1990-1999 skyline for importation. heres the site:

MotoRex is closed and has been for quite some time. There is no one at the present time that can legalize any GT-R's. Also only R33 are legaly allowed to be imported into the country. Ther are quite a few threads about it on here.
