Have a sunroof?

If no sunroof, it's probably the windshield seal. And I'm not sure that's very easy to fix yourself.

Hold on, cnilkyrclit. You've been on this forum long enough to know that it doesn't make sense to change the topic in the middle of the thread.

Let's stick to the roof leak (which I'm now sure is the problem), and you can start a new thread about your brake light problem. (When you post, indicate which brake light. The brake warning light or the one that indicates a problem with the stop lights - I don't have a '98, so I can't be more precise than that).

If your sunroof is after-market then I doubt anyone can give you any more than a guess about the problem. Its it really a sun roof (which slides open) or a moon roof? If it's the former, it probably has drains, which can clog. If it's the latter the problem is likely to be the rubber seal.

Your brake light problem, is simply that you are a bit low on fluid. Check the reserviour, top it off and you'll be good. As the pads wear down, the pistons get pushed out further, and the fluid level goes down. It is normal.

As you accelerate, or stop, or something like that, the momentum gets the fluid to move away from the sensor for a second, so the sensor thinks the fluid is extremely low, and you see the 'brake' light flash for a second.

Thanks for encouraging people to put 2 unrelated topics in one thread, Moderator.

No need to be a prick. It was a simple answer to a simple question, why clog up the forum with a useless thread if I can answer the question right here before he starts the new thread. I appreciate your willingness to help, but it's not your job to moderate, so don't worry about it. If you have a problem, feel free to PM me or Igor.

to AccordCodger:

its called "killing 2 birds with 1 stone. for future reference please do not reply to my posts/questions if you cannot reply to the actual situation at hand!!!!! i knew exactly what i was doing, as you previously stated "You've been on this forum long enough....", i have done this with other issues. let the moderators do their job!!!!!! that is what they are here for. obviously if there was a problem they would be the ones to handle it. i do not have the patience for ignorance as you can see. nuf said!!!!!

to Igovert500:

thanks for for the help.

to those in the forum who are willing to help:

if someone can specifically tell me what to look for (the different parts of the sunroof that may be causing the leak) that would be great. unfortunatley i dont know anything about sunroofs (except for the open/ close button!!!!!)

p.s. just wanted to say thanks to everyone who is apart of this forum, it is the greatest!!!!!

I did that, but without actually seeing your sunshine/moon roof, it's not possible to give you better advice than I already gave. (I noticed a word missing from my post, and I've fixed that).

p.s. just wanted to say thanks to everyone who is apart of this forum, it is the greatest!!!!! Do you include me in that?

Do a search for 'sunroof drains', and you'll find what you need to check.
Otherwise, try getting in the car and having a friend pour water on all the weather stripping on the windshield/sunroof/and nearby windows, etc, see if you can find a leak in the weather stripping.

Other than that, I'm closing this one, the conversation/bickering isn't going to get us anywhere. If for whatever reason, you cannot find the location of the drains after a search/or cannot unclog them, or you cannot find hte leak in any weatherstripping PM me and I'll reopen this.
