Difference between injectors

What's the difference between saturated and peak and hold injectors. I'm guessing that the peak and hold injectors use a square wave signal from the ECU that peaks at a certian voltage and holds there as long as the intake ports are open? I have no idea about saturated.

one set needs a resistor pack and the other doesnt

Ok, now that we have that cleared up, why not use saturated injectors with a turbo setup. Why spend the money to install the resistor box and buy DSM injectors? Is it that expensive to get higher flow saturated injectors that would fit the civic?

a set of DSM injectors and a resistor pack can be had for less than $100....i spent $210 on my RC550s.....there is a big difference. Not to mention, the resistor packs are easy as hell to wire in....

Are the RC 550s saturated injectors? And by big difference do you mean flow?

the RC's that i have aren't Saturated....but its no biggie anyway. And by big difference, i mean in price.
I think you're getting too worried about the resistor pack. Its not hard at all. As far as fitment, neither injector is going to 'drop in' to the stock o-rings anyway....you'll have to bore them out as far as i know. I had to and i know that DSM's have to as well...

The wiring isn't a problem. The diagrams are easy. 4 in 1 out. I have a friend in ND that 'supposedly' replaced his injectors with higher flow injectors. To the best of my knowledge he doesn't use a resistor box. He's on here, Ridestreet84 is his S/N. I just can't see why anyone would want to go to the trouble of chopping the harness if there was an alternative that would fit better. I need to look into injectors anyway.

dude i know him....i can't remember his name offhand, but i've met him a few times. He is in the Air Force or something and was/is stationed at the base here.
The reason people do it is because once you get into bigger injectors, 780cc and larger, you can't find them in a Saturated injector anyway...its just easier to get it over w/ and do the resistor pack. I did and it only took an hour after heat wrapping and everything.

Henry is his name.
The biggest thing for me is that I'm not going to boost my poor little D15B7 to some ridiculous amount of HP. I want something faster than the average Civic cause I'm tired of being slooooooooooooow. I want low boost, around 7 - 10 psi and that's it. I'm building up my internals piece by piece and starting to replace my fuel system. My car is on blocks so I don't mind saving up money to do things clean. I want it done right and I want to do as much of it as possible myself.

if you're going to do internals then make sure to get some good rods and good pistons. Its not necessary for you to upgrade the internals, but if you want to, then do it.
If you want a good powered car that will beat a lot of other cars, just shoot for 190whp. Your first time on a smaller budget should be an easier build unless you plan to spend $3k and have problems along the way.
Check out www.turbod16.com and see what they recommend. Usually they use a T3 .42/.48 and have good success
