i have an 1986 mustang convertible. the top will not go down here it what I have done with it I took the motor and hooked it up to the battery works. I juice to the relays to activate them but dont have juice up the main wires to run the motor. what i dont know is there a fuse or more relaysup in the front of the car? where do the lines go to get there electricity? I have a ford manual cant find any wiring diagram or indication where the lines go.

Man, we have maybe a similar problem.
When i push the top control button, I hear a clicking noise.
I'm thinking that I might need a new motor or maybe a relay is out.
Please keep us informed, if you find a solution.
Thanks & good luck.

Hey, On My 95 Ther Is A Safety Switch On Th E Brake. Try By Passing That Switch. And Also Some Of The Fuses Might Be Under Hood In The Main Fuse Block. In Mine The Safty Switch Is Bad And I Had To By-pass It. Anyway Good Luck.
