ummmk....yeah.....i found out today that my car is well slow:bloated:, ummmkkkkkay, just couple minutes ago i was coming home from work, about 1-2 minutes away from my place, this white car decides to take a turn into my road which forces me to slow down so i dont hit his rear bumper, but its actually speeding up quite well, nonetheless, i decided to pass it on the left lane, caught a glimpse of the car and it looked kinda old skool, its emblems are removed in the back and it has dark tint all around, by the time i was exactly about 1 car length ahead of him (i bet you he saw my altezzas) he quickly speed up and i let him pass, i try to catch up with him and he keeps speeding away, a yellow light is emerging and look at that! its just me and him at the red lights! http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon10.gif i knew he was gonna go for it, i wont hold anything back, usually i dont race cars with no fart-cans, or cars that try to bait me, but it has been a long time since i caught a race, so heck! this guy will do just fine, i try to look through the tints, and it looks like an old dad (40+ yrs old) i rolled down my window but the dad didn't even look at me and just starred straight ahead:sly: okayyyyy....i understand,.....nonetheless, i knew he was gonna go for it, and so will I! lights are about to turn green and i dont hear him rev so i figure it must be an auto! i get ready to launch, lights goes green! BOOM! we are freakin head to head i dont freakin believe this, i should be car lengths ahead! wtf~! i'm starting to think in my head "what kinda car is the daddy driving?" he kept pulling slowing, and by the end of 3rd, he got exactly 1 car length ahead of me, i shut down early cuz i knew it was over, i cant catch up. Another red light emerges and i look for any clue for what this old skool car is. And i finally spot a "Regal" badge in the driver's side front fender,....so i just lost to a grandma car, and to make it worst, it was auto(no offence to you auto guys out there http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon12.gif)

now that i look at it, did the guy really removed his emblems or did they came like that? oh well, this picture doesn't have the "Regal" emblems on the front fender, but the one i raced did, it wasn't just vinyle letters, it was actually a badge, anybody a buick freak? well, thanks for reading

Yeah, I believe it is a 2.3L Turbocharged motor. I don't know if it is the SVO block that was in the Mustang though.

I believe they are RWD as well. Minor bolt ons gets them into the 300hp range. Ugly as sin, but they can scoot.

Ricer get yourself a fast car man. You're really missing out on your younger years with a Corolla. I know it gets great gas mileage, but sometimes you have to experience lighting up your tires. Either that or opt for the Corolla that has the Celica GT-S motor in it.

you guys are funny :p my car is not stock ming! reason being i said well slow, i've never lost to a granny car! :( damn....i mean,....I've won against some integras, civics, sunfire, neon, celica, but this thing was a total sleeper:disappoin and i figure i'd at least hold him off since i was manual! ah well, you lose some u win some, and those of you who wasn't here when i explained the reason for the corolla is that it's just so damn reliable, i'm more of a toyota guy, and there's just too many hondas out there, i wanted to go a different route, i just hit 170k on the odo with this thing and the engine still runs perfect! i dont know if anyone in here has been in my position, but i'm a college student basically living on my own, things dont go the way i want to, ya know? hopefully when i'm done with school i'll be in a much faster car, but for now this car is just for fun and giggles ;)

The cars you listed above to claim to have beaten are all four cylinder cars. Regardless if you have some simple mods or not, a 6 cylinder driven by somebody who wants to get there fast will beat you. Congratulations, you got spanked by a car with a bigger engine. It happens. Funny thing is a friend of mine Matt got a Buick Regal GS a couple of weeks ago. He told me it was supercharged, but I figured he just didn't know what the hell he was talking about. He brought it up to our shop and showed it to us. We were giving him props on having a kick ass granny car.

A few days later he raced a stock ass 240sx with a big fake wing and won. He calls me up a few days later and wants to see how it compares to either one of my vehicles. :grinno: I think I'm going to be easy on him and put him beside the camaro. I don't think he's ready for the cruck. :p

I have no idea what model it is, but here's a pic of his car taken off of his myspace page. Maybe someone can shed some light on the model. I do know for a fact that it does have the supercharger though. He's also added a pipe on it. :disappoin

its the SSEI Supercharged, it has the 3800 Supercharged engine in it. Stock it should run high 14's low 15's. But with a pulley swap, injectors and some tunning those things can be running low 13's. Same engine as the Grand Prix GTP, Supercharged SS, Imapala SS, and maybe 1 other car.


As for ricer, uhh man i honestly think there is no hope for you.

I am also curious as to what mods you have done...my g/f has a 2002 corolla sport and that thing cant get much slower. maybe the power mirrors and windows are taking away some of the power...:lol: ...anyway cant take away the reliability of a toyota but the corolla is no where near fast...

speaking of the 3800 sc'ed impala Im very dissapointed...we have plenty of those on the stealership and they are weak.....but the new 5.7 haul ass....(sorry about the off topic)hehe
