Do 275/70/16's fit safely on a 03 Suburban? I believe stock tires are 265/70/16's and Junk firestones! Putting Michelins on wed, and want to make the right choice. Anyone turn the torsion bars up 2-3 cranks, will it help with a little larger tire? I am getting the front end aligned prior to tires. Thanks for your thoughts.

PS. I liked the ride of my firestones until one of the inner treads sunk in 1". I think a belt separated and they scared me. I run my tires at max pressure and they had 35000 miles. The dealer response is they are junk what can I say! Not a good answer!

I have a 2000 4x4, new body style. Mine has 265/75R16's. I think the 275/70R16's are the same height as mine.
You might check your speed with a gps to see if your speedo is off.
I have run through two sets of firestones and now have goodyears.
I had no problems with the firestones. I got 45k out of each.

You should be fine with the 275s. Stock is 265 but you are typically good to increase upto 2 or 3 sizes on most vehicles.
