New car with many kms on it?

A friend went to buy a new car and found one exactly like what he wanted, but it had 440 kilometers on it. He asked the salesman for a discount because of that, but the dealership refused. He couldn't pick another car because this is the only car the dealership had with all the options my friend wanted. The dealer explained the high kilometers by saying that the car was first delivered to the wrong dealership about 400 kilometers away, so someone had to drive it to this dealership.

Should he still buy this car? I personally find it difficult to pay full price for a brand new car with 440 kms on it, but on the other hadn this car is a rare find because none of the other dealerships in the area have the same model with the exact same options as this one.
