I'm trying to do the whole PSed cartoon cars, but since i'm clueless about it I need some input on if I'm doing ok

Uh... I start from scratch. I make a new layer for every color.

I started with the main outline of the body in black. Then added a green layer for the painted areas. Then added a layer for the windows, then added a layer for all the door lines, hood lines, etc. Then a bunch of layers for the highlights and shadows...

I just got this new program the other day called SuperGoo for like $9 that lets you distort car pictures to make them cartoon like. Nothing I've done yet is post-worthy but its fun as hell
